Education

Undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral education are fundamental priorities for the IEB, and as a result, our research output is far more diverse in terms of content than that of a typical research institute.

Training in biodiversity sciences for students and young researchers helps prepare them to face the great scientific challenges presented by the current era of major environmental and regulatory change.
Throughout its history, the IEB has trained more than 530 people, granting 66 master’s and doctoral scholarships, 138 summer scholarships for undergraduate students, and 97 scholarships for postdoctoral researchers.
