Area of research: His research focuses primarily on analysis of the evolutionary relationships of plant taxa, and establishing patterns in ecological, biological and biogeographical processes. His research areas are: botany, plant taxonomy, molecular systematics, biogeography, cytogenetics, and scientific education.
